Plant your seeds in the ground. Some plants tend to do better if you start with seedlings from a nursery (unless you are experienced with starting these from seeds) such as peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, eggplant, broccoli, and cabbage.

Once you are sure of which seeds you will plant, purchase your seeds at a local nursery or for a greater selection, online or by mail. Check the dates to make sure they are fresh.

For seedling plants, have the garden prepared and get the seedlings into the ground as soon as you can. Choose healthy and strong-looking plants.
