Dealing with change
(in general)
Trials & StressI was able to overcome much of that depression and stress by renewing my mind and forming a strong relationship with the Lord. But then our lives changed drastically. Going through probably the toughest and longest trial of my life and
dealing with change
drove me back to poor stress management. The bible talks about trials as times of testing to build our stamina, character, and patience. God knew what I needed and my trials certainly have done their good work in my heart and mind. I have had a few distinct revelations concerning
how to deal with stress.
Those revelations of my power to choose my response to my "buttons" being pushed lead me to conclude that there aren't really stressors, only situations and how we respond to them. It may sound like just another cliche, but once I worked that truth into my daily life, things began to *click* and I was able to handle previously stressful situations with exceptional ease.
